TechTarget’s 2023 IT Priorities Study gathers technology priorities and investment plans for technology buyers across IT, business, and clinical functions.

This study was conducted from November 2022-February 2023 in order to evaluate the greater impact of the macro-economic climate on IT budgets and investments.

The portion of this global study represents insights from 132 healthcare technology decision makers worldwide and covers 3 key areas:

TechTarget's 2023 IT Priorities Study Research Methodology

Information on the global study of all organization types:

In November 2022, TechTarget fielded a study on IT Priorities and investment plans for technology buyers across IT and business functions. The study ran until mid-February 2023 to capture and measure buyer sentiment during economic instability.

The primary data source for this report is from the Worldwide IT Priorities Study; a comprehensive online survey of IT (71%) and business (29%) professionals from private and public sector organizations worldwide fielded between November 2022 – February 2023. After filtering the TechTarget member list based on a criteria for data integrity, we were left with a final total sample of 132 qualified respondents. Please see the Respondent Demographics section of this report for more information.

To qualify for either survey, respondents were required to be responsible for their organization's technology purchasing decisions or have significant knowledge of the process. All respondents were members of TechTarget's active audience.
